The new solution is based on the Maginus 7xa multi-channel
platform, and will allow Trilanco to benefit from integrated control across its
core marketing, sales and warehousing operations. Maginus’ increased
flexibility will allow Trilanco to provide its growing number of agricultural
products retailers and equestrian tack shop customers with increased efficiency
and improved customer support.
“Trilanco’s long-term success depends on our ability to
provide an outstanding level of customer service – that means we have to
underpin our customer commitment with the highest levels of process and
technology support,” commented Martin Balmer, a partner at Trilanco.
“Implementing an effective multi-channel solutions platform was an essential
part of this programme, and we selected Maginus after a detailed assessment of
the market.
“With Maginus we can control all of our core business
operations using a single integrated system. This will lead to significant
improvements in efficiency by speeding up order entry, automating catalogue
production and optimising our warehouse operations,” he continued.
“Implementing Maginus will provide Trilanco with the
information it needs on its business to drive continual margin, performance and
service improvements”, added Harry Manley, Commercial Director at Maginus.
“Pocket Maginus will allow its field sales team to gain an edge on its
competitors, and the Packing Station functions will eliminate picking and
dispatching errors, whilst increasing throughput”
Pocket Maginus, Maginus’ new solution for field sales, will
allow Trilanco’s staff to check stock levels in real-time, and enter orders
whilst in the field, using a PDA.
Maginus’ Packing Station solution enables the scanning of
individual products into packages, to help improve the accuracy of deliveries
and the traceability of packages and their contents. The new Packing Station
capability will also improve traceability and ownership within the packing
area, and provide Trilanco with a separate quality check after picking and
before dispatch.
Using Maginus will also allow Trilanco to integrate its
catalogue management process, providing a direct link between product content
held in Maginus, and the desktop publishing package QuarkXPress. Content
management in Maginus will ensure
consistency of data on the web, in the transaction processing system, and in
printed catalogues and price lists.
