Pindar announces the acquisition of the intellectual property rights for Pindar Systems' CMS and Agility

Pindar, a total solutions provider for publishing and print from ink to internet, today announced it has acquired total control and ownership of the intellectual property rights for Pindar Systems’ two software products.

Under the terms of this acquisition, Pindar now owns the IPR for the content management software products CMS and Agility.

Andrew Dalton chief executive, stated, "We are very pleased to purchase CMS and Agility, a move that will help retain and develop our market leading position in catalogues. Ongoing development of both products will focus on delivering real business benefits to our catalogue customers.

He added, "Though we are sad and sorry to see the demise of the Pindar Systems’ business that in some part shares our name and stems from our history, we are equally delighted to be able to directly re-engage with a number of major customers and to be able to drive a business model that will delight many new customers."

Content management enables cataloguers to improve margins, revenues and time-to-market, creating an immediate impact on profitability and cashflow. When Pindar Systems formally demerged from Pindar more than three years ago, Pindar became a customer of Pindar Systems, as a reseller of the CMS software and an outsourced provider for content management services on a global scale.

Pindar today has some 100 dedicated software developers across its businesses, providing a profound understanding and vast experience in the needs of content rich publishers.
