Pindar’s content management solutions chosen by principal UK supplier

Pindar today announced Ironmongery Direct has chosen its market leading content management software (CMS) to streamline catalogue production and manage online data.

Pindar’s CMS enables publishing information to be stored, maintained and controlled from one location. It provides tools to help build catalogue pages quickly and efficiently, and enables teams to work collaboratively. The master information can be reused for future publications and is easily extracted for other marketing channels, such as websites, with total confidence. Ironmongery Direct’s decision to increase its multi-channel marketing to drive its business growth meant that CMS was ideally suited for its expanding needs. The main catalogue has grown year-on-year to 480-pages with 7000-plus products available online.

Samantha Wilson, at Ironmongery Direct - a specialist provider of ironmongery products, stated, “As our business developed, we were spending too much time producing our marketing campaigns, and needed a more effective process for our publishing needs, and a rapid return on investment. We looked at a number of vendors but chose Pindar’s content management system, as its best suited for our cataloguing needs. This year we chose to complete a section of our catalogue using CMS, which proved hugely successful. I look forward to producing all of our marketing material in this way from now on and it’s been so easy to integrate with our other office systems.”

Gary Utton, Sales Director at Pindar said, “This was the right time for Ironmongery Direct to introduce our CMS. They have successfully implemented this through a phased approach. I am really pleased that our solutions have helped them to save time, reduce duplication of effort and improve control of information. These systems have been continuously developed over the last ten years to help our customers with their publishing needs through web, catalogues, mailers or any preferred route to market”

Notes to Editors

Pindar’s CMS fully integrates with existing back-office systems for real-time upgrades. Ironmongery Direct’s back office system is FreeEX, supplied by Exact Abacus.
