Glacier Glove launches major new range of outdoor clothing accessories to protect wearer from harmful UV rays

9th December 2005 - Glacier Glove, the leading manufacturer of outdoor sports gloves, has launched a major new range of hats, caps and gloves under the name of Dr Shade. The new range provides the wearer with protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays in line with the recommendations from the American Cancer Association to acknowledge the growing importance of sun protection. The garments provide vital sun protection for people who work outside and those who participate in outdoor sports.

Glacier Glove’s Dr Shade range will feature over 20 products all made from fabrics which have been tested in independent laboratories to verify that they provide sun protection from UPF/SPF15 to UPF/SPF 50 – the range of protection recommended by the American Cancer Association. They are made from comfortable cotton Lycra, nylon Lycra, microfiber polyester and synthetic leather.
