m-Qube Licenses VoiceAge Networks’ Solution for Multimedia Content Adaptation

SPOTxde® Server solution augments m-Qube’s Mobile Application Platform with optimized content transcoding capabilities

Las Vegas, April 4, 2006 - VoiceAge Networks Corporation, a recognized global leader in mobile multimedia content adaptation, announced today that its SPOTxde® Server solution has been licensed by m-Qube, a leading mobile channel enabler that helps companies develop, deliver, and bill for mobile content, messaging and applications.

SPOTxde Server will be integrated with m-Qube’s Mobile Application Platform to adapt media - including video, audio, ring tones, alerts, images, mobile marketing campaigns, or messaging - to the optimum format for the requesting device, while maintaining the fidelity and integrity of the original multimedia content. In addition, m-Qube has licensed VoiceAge Networks’ Device Profile Module, which provides access to the most recent device profiles for all existing and future mobile devices as they are launched worldwide by various handset manufacturers.

Once integrated, the m-Qube technology platform with multimedia content adaptation powered by SPOTxde Server will allow m-Qube to pre-transcode media files, thereby simplifying the editing process for hundreds if not thousands of devices. The addition of SPOTxde will also improve the successful delivery of multimedia messages and content downloads, including WAP and streaming services, distribution of messages, premium content, and other applications through MMS and WAP Push, as well as value-added features such as Digital Rights Management (DRM), watermarking/branding and advertising.

“We are thrilled to have been selected by m-Qube after a rigorous evaluation process. Operators and their subscribers will clearly benefit from the integration of SPOTxde Server into m-Qube’s Mobile Application Platform. With SPOTxde, the existing content manipulation processes are streamlined and automated, and content management is greatly simplified. The result is that more rich media content will be available from more sources and, regardless of the subscriber’s network or device, an optimized user experience will be guaranteed,” says Jean Mayrand, CEO of VoiceAge Networks.
