World leading Kubota minis are major force at SED 2006

Kubota, the UK, European and world leader in mini excavators will be exhibiting and demonstrating selected models from its market-leading range at SED 2006 - The National Event For Construction (Stand 160, Avenue B, Site Equipment Zone, Rockingham Performance Park, Corby, Northants, 16-18 May 2006) - including the preview of a new 8 tonne KX080-3 high performance machine.

The new, short tail swing KX080-3 will be officially available in the UK market from July 2006 and incorporates state-of-the-art technology as standard, including an integrated security system.

Providing class-leading performance; exceptional safety, durability, reliability and comfort; together with low running costs and enhanced serviceability, the KX080-3 is an extremely sophisticated and versatile 8 tonne machine.

Already providing the widest minis range available from a single manufacturer, customers can now select from 17 base models, spanning the weight range from 850kg to 8 tonne, and including the extremely versatile and increasingly popular zero tail swing machines.

And to help combat the increasing theft of construction plant, Kubota has responded to market demands with the introduction of their unique key-based 'ANTI-THEFT' system as standard equipment.

The easy-to-use security system, the first of its kind fitted as standard from an excavator manufacturer, is yet another pioneering innovation from the world leader in mini excavators.

Among other machines on show for the first time at SED will be the 5 tonne Kubota U50-3α, a zero tail swing model fitted with a long reach arm, which together with the U45-3α 4.5 tonne machine, are some of the most advanced minis in their class.

In addition to a long reach arm for extra digging depth, the U50-3α has a heavier counterweight for enhanced stability and improved torque for increased traction, compared with the U45-3α model, whilst both machines provide the highest standards in design, technology and performance.

Kubota mini excavators have a legendary reputation for quality, performance, reliability and excellent residual values, together with exceptional support from a nationwide network of specialist dealers.

“Our minis represent the global benchmark that customers and end-users consistently ask for, and to which other manufacturers compare their own machines”, said Richard Harrison, Sales & Marketing Manager, Kubota (UK) Ltd - Construction Equipment Division.

“In addition to the tremendous capabilities of our existing range of machines, continuing product enhancements, new models and the strength of our dealer network should help ensure the on-going achievement of record sales levels and our continued leadership of the mini excavator sector of many years to come”.
