European Business Rules Conference: Award - Best Business Rules Project

LONDON - May 22, 2006 - The EBRC 2006 Award for "Best Business Rules Solution" will be presented on June 13, 2006 at the European Business Rules Conference in London. The award consists of an engraved trophy for the organisation that owns the selected solution and a 500 Euro donation to a charity of the nominator's choice.

Nominations for the award may be made until June 2, 2006, via the EBRC web site (www.eurobizrules.org). They are not restricted to solutions presented at the conference. Any business rules solution that meets the qualifying criteria may be nominated. The qualifying criteria are that the solution:

1.    Is already operational - although it is acceptable that further development is planned
2.    Has applied the core ideas of the business rules approach:

                    - Business rules are maintained as a distinct body of knowledge
                    - Business rules are owned by business users

3.    Has brought benefits that are recognised by people in the business

The EBRC Best Business Rules Solution will be selected by a panel drawn from speakers at EBRC 2006 and the EBRC organisers. The award will be presented at the EBRC 2006 conference dinner on June 13, 2006.

About the Conference

The European Business Rules Conference (EBRC), sponsored in 2006 by Fair Isaac, ILOG and RuleBurst, has been held annually since 2002 and is the only independent conference on business rules in Europe. After being held twice in Zurich and twice in Amsterdam, the conference will be held in London for the first time. Numbers have increased year-on-year by 20% and more than 200 participants are expected in 2006. EBRC addresses both business and IT oriented people and provides an independent and objective overview of technological and organisational innovations in the context of business rules.
