(Immenstaad, Germany) June 2, 2006 – At the 5th European Business Rules Conference in London (June 12-15, 2006), Innovations Softwaretechnologie will present the new version of the 'visual rules' Business Rules Management System (BRMS) for Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). According to the conference focus, “Regulatory Compliance” Innovations will also show how the BRMS is used in compliance solutions covering anti-money laundering and market abuse.

Graphical Model Approach for Efficient Business Processes
'visual rules' is used to graphically model business rules and generate program code as well as create documentation of these rules. This visible and transparent way of mapping is essential in order to adapt the rules of business processes to changing market conditions in an efficient manner. This approach enables the developers to work in close cooperation with the business experts and analysts to model business rules – thus shortening the conceptual design phase for developing customer- and user-oriented software solutions. Furthermore the quality of business rules can be effectively upgraded.

Business Rules – now to be used in SOA
Users can now generate Web Services for their business rules using 'visual rules' and deploy them across platforms in a Service Oriented Architecture. Business rules can then be changed independently of any release cycles of applications.

'visual rules' makes it easy to quickly capture, visualise and change business rules. Automatic tests within the graphical model further reduce the effort for testing. Increasing the ease of business rules management has a direct effect on the flexibility of the processes – which helps to motivate the introduction of an SOA.
