Powerline Communications from DS2 - the solution to distributing multimedia around the home

Cannes, France - 26th September, 2006 -  Jorge Blasco, CEO of DS2, today presented the next big thing in the consumer market at the Net-at Home annual conference in Cannes, France. DS2 high-speed powerline communications (PLC) technology revolutionizes the home entertainment experience. Consumers are eager for this type of easy-to-use, reliable networking equipment available from DS2 clients because it delivers instant connectivity among digital video recorders, game consoles, personal computers, printers, network storage, DMA (digital media adaptors) and other network-enabled devices. There is no need to drill holes or lay cables. Retail customers can extend the reach of their existing broadband Internet networks (ADSL, coaxial cable or WiMAX connections) by plugging in DS2-based Powerline to Ethernet Adaptors.”  
 
DS2 PLC technology complements Wi-Fi for applications that require full coverage with high quality of service for whole home networking.
