Mediasurface Surfaces in Australia

  • Mediasurface (UK, AIM: MSR), the world's fastest growing content management solution provider, has opened an office in Sydney, Australia as part of its continued expansion into the Asia-Pacific. The subsidiary, that will provide support for existing customers and partners, is actively looking to build partnerships with web design agencies and systems integrators in the region.

12th December 2006 - Mediasurface today announced the opening of its new subsidiary office in Sydney, Australia. The global Web Content Management vendor, which has enjoyed market-beating levels of company growth in 2006, has opened a new office in Sydney to both support new and existing customers across the Asia-Pacific region and to recruit new sales and implementation partners for its award-winning portfolio of web content management solutions. The move into Australia continues its recent expansion into India, Northern Europe and extended growth in the West Coast of the United States.

The launch of this regional Australian office means customers such as Citigroup, Thomson, Infor (formerly SSA Global) and Borealis - who all have a significant presence in this part of the Southern hemisphere - now have a dedicated local contact and support network.

Overseeing the new office is Senior Vice President of the company, Chris Tew. He comments, "At Mediasurface, we recognise that our customers are the most important piece of our business and by opening our Sydney office, we are now providing dedicated support and maintenance 'on the spot'. I am really excited to be here supporting the local team as well as bringing our products to a new market."

Mediasurface offers content management products across a number of distinct markets, with Morello offering enterprise-level software for large, blue-chip firms and Pepperio providing professional yet affordable website management to the smaller firms that recognise the importance of a serious online presence.

The firm enters the region on the back of a tremendous 41 per cent growth in its past financial year, plus numerous awards, and significant industry recognition for its products in the web content management arena. The company's approach is validated by the growing consensus that "big ECM" is not working, with users finding their main issue lying with the delivery and management of web content and site deployment. Mediasurface has over a decade of experience in creating realistic and truly usable solutions to these problems, and strongly feels its industry-leading approach is perfect for the growing, dynamic Asia-Pacific market.

New Partners
Mediasurface is looking to repeat the success of Pepperio - its website management technology for smaller businesses - by quickly establishing a partner channel focused on design, website agencies and internet consultancies. Tew explains: "Small businesses across Australia are definitely beginning to see the value in having a good website, but most content management solutions are too complex and too expensive for their needs. With Pepperio, web design agencies have a highly functional, proven website management tool that the customer understands and can use to manage their site."
