Exclusive Gift and Jewellery retailer - Connaught House - Goes live with complete Microsoft Retail Management System

  • Davidson-Richards implements end-to-end solution for better visibility of stock and buying trends

Connaught House, an exclusive gift, fine china and jewellery retailer, today went live with a complete Retail Management System from Davidson-Richards, the UK's leading provider of the Microsoft Retail Management System (RMS). Davidson-Richards implemented the solution, with Microsoft RMS at the core, to provide Connaught House with intelligent, real-time stock control and visibility of consumer buying trends. Consultants worked with Connaught House to ensure that the new RMS solution went fully live simultaneously across the company's seven stores throughout the East Midlands.

Davidson-Richards' RMSynergy promotions and loyalty module will ensure that mail-order customers are informed when new items are available in their collection, for ranges that include Swarovski, Waterford Crystal, Antica Murrina and Steiff. The innovative new customer loyalty module allows Connaught House to develop an intelligent database of customer purchase information which will enable the ordering of new stock to be tailored to meet individual customer demands. Davidson-Richards was chosen for this implementation after the success of a previous project to install the Microsoft RMS solution into the jewellery section of a business.

"Our old system was slow, out-of-date and didn't offer us the flexibility that we need to ensure the personal service that we pride ourselves on," commented Mike Allsopp, Managing Director at Connaught House. "In the past, we have used the old fashioned 'stamp on a card' loyalty scheme but we were often faced with receipt and redemption fraud.

I am confident that this new system will considerably simplify staff processes to ensure a much more streamlined business," added Mike Allsopp.
