avast! Antivirus Awarded Best Antivirus Software

avast! Home Edition antivirus has been voted Best Antivirus Software by consumers visiting ReviewCentre.com, the leading consumer review Website.

The award is based on averages of ratings and recommendations submitted by members of Review Centre in 2006, and for overall ratings and comments featured in the Anti Virus Software category on Review Centre.

93 per cent of those who submitted reviews about the free avast! Home Edition software were happy to recommend it to others. All of those who recommended the software found it to be not only very efficient at blocking and removing computer viruses and spyware from their computers, but also very fast and easy to install.

Many users also compared avast! favourably to other available antivirus software. Reviewers were delighted that "such wonderful software" was available "free of charge."
