Matthews InTouch to outsource IT developments to Polymorph

  • Biggest ever outsourcing project for leading packaging graphics production house
  • Will allow more efficient workflow and training processes, and ensure all essential information is made available enterprise-wide

UK - 5th March 2008 - Matthews InTouch, one of Europe's leading packaging graphics production houses, has chosen to outsource its IT development and design to Lotus Notes specialists and one of the UK's fastest growing IT services companies, Polymorph. The agreement will enable Matthews InTouch to extend its existing Lotus Notes platform and to streamline its internal processes by implementing bespoke applications that integrate its disparate systems. This will allow the production house to deliver more efficient workflow and training processes and ensure that all essential information, including customer history and complaints, is made available to staff across the entire enterprise.

Under the new agreement, Polymorph will work closely with Matthews InTouch to develop applications that will integrate with its existing Lotus Notes environment. Initial areas of development will be focused at an HR level, where Polymorph will help Matthews InTouch redesign its employee appraisal & training processes, and at a Customer Service level to deal with customer complaints more effectively and more proactively. Other projects will include consolidating Matthews InTouch's client information across its multiple communication channels and centralising all customer data to make it more visible and accessible to employees.

"It is the first time we have outsourced our IT development to this extent. However, having worked successfully with Polymorph over the past couple of years, we decided to build on this sound working relationship and subcontract our IT development and design to the company," commented Paul Holmes, Group IT Manager at Matthews InTouch. "Polymorph's expert technical and consultancy skills means that we have a dedicated IT resource that can help us identify and assess our specific business requirements, as well as recognise our core skills and streamline our internal processes."

The 12 month agreement extends Matthews InTouch's existing two-year collaboration with Polymorph and adds to its initial messaging infrastructure audit and complaints policy evaluation. This highlights excellent business opportunities and ways in which Matthews InTouch could capitalise on its current processes. It also enabled Matthews InTouch to recognise its key corporate skills and identify opportunities that could help it add value to the company's bottom line.

"We are delighted to build on our existing partnership with Matthews InTouch and provide it with bespoke applications that will ensure seamless and streamlined workflow processes," commented Steve Harris, Managing Director of Polymorph. "As always, Polymorph is committed to provide expert consultancy, solutions and support services to fulfil a wide range of business issues."
