Finding the Upside in a Tough Economic Climate

January 21st, 2010 - Explorer Software Group has taken a different approach to recruitment over the past 24 months. Despite the economic slowdown, Explorer has been actively recruiting top talent in a number of key areas. "We see this as an opportunity. Our industry is highly specialized and individuals with this wealth of knowledge are simply not available in good times," explains Shelley Hoffman, Managing Director of North America. Hoffman is confident that by recruiting top talent, Explorer will be well positioned for success in the years to come. 

If recent hires are any indication of the type of talent Explorer is pursuing, things can only bode well for the company. In recent months, Explorer has brought on board Dustin Anderson as Vice President, Sales and Marketing and Mark Liss as Director of Construction Solutions to help spearhead the launch of Version 7 of its web based product, Contract Manager. Anderson comes to Explorer with over ten years of sales experience in the construction software industry, including six years as the Director of Sales for CMiC. With 16 years of experience at Computer Guidance Corporation, Liss is also a seasoned veteran and is well respected within the construction software industry.

Explorer has also beefed up its programming and quality assurance teams by recruiting top talent whose expertise can help make a meaningful impact on Explorer's bid to raise its performance to the upper echelon.
