IPTV World Series Awards 2010 Shortlist Announced

LONDON, UK – 12 February 2010 - Informa Telecoms & Media today has just revealed the shortlist for the IPTV World Series Awards.

The Award Winners will be announced at the IPTV Awards Gala Evening, hosted by TV and Radio personality, Paul Ross. Ross is the co-presenter with Gabby Roslin on BBC London 94.9FM’s flagship breakfast show and has fronted the police appeals show, Crime Monthly, for ITV as well as presented numerous game shows, including All Over The Shop, No Win No Fee for the BBC and Jeopardy for Sky One. He is also currently the showbiz correspondent and film critic for This Morning.

The IPTV Awards Gala Evening will take place on the first evening of the IPTV World Forum on Tuesday, 23rd March 2010 at 7pm at the Royal Garden Hotel, London.

Most Innovative New Service
Recognises a service launched by an operator or service provider in 2009, and delivered fully or in part over an IP network, which made a significant contribution to service revenues and customer satisfaction. A service or product could be a complete IPTV launch or it could be a new service as part of an existing IPTV offer, such as the introduction of HDTV or DVR for example.

However, please note that this category does not include Video on Demand; this award uses a more narrow definition of interactive TV - what people have come to understand by the abbreviation 'iTV'.
