New online forms service is set to make form filling a lot easier

March 2010 – London - UK software house, Evenlogic, has launched a new electronic forms website called www.myforms.org.uk. The site, which uses cloud computing concepts, allows users who register, to fill in a range of online legal and government PDF forms and to save working copies to their personal area on the web server.

Because the working copies are saved "in the cloud", users or their colleagues can retrieve the forms later for further work, using any internet-enabled PC located anywhere. The approach is likely to make form filling procedures a lot easier for a lot of people as it allows forms to be filled in, circulated, checked, updated, emailed, filed and printed prior to submission.

The myforms website has been developed by and is operated by Evenlogic. Currently it is operating as a pilot and supports a range of government Land Registry, Companies House and HM Court Services forms. It is planned that in due course, it will support many more types of forms.

It is envisaged that the site will be of particular interest to practices of lawyers, accountants and company secretaries that, during the course of their business, fill in forms on behalf of clients, as well as to individuals wishing to fill in their own forms.

Explaining the main benefits of the site, Evenlogic’s managing director, John Jarvis, said: “Many organisations provide PDF forms on the internet and some of these can be filled in electronically. Even when this is the case, however, there is often no mechanism that allows you and your colleagues to save a part completed form and return to it later to continue working on it. This can be very frustrating if the form is long or if some of the required information is not to hand when you start filling in the form. The myforms.org.uk site addresses this problem.”
