CFMA 2010 IT Survey Proves CMiC Only Vendor to Provide Complete Construction Software Solution

CMiC is the Only Software Vendor to Rank in Top Spots for Accounting, Project Management, CRM, Collaboration, Fixed Assets and Imaging

TORONTO – March 30, 2010 – CMiC, the leader in providing software solutions for the construction industry, has increased its presence in the general contracting industry by placing in the top two positions for all major product categories in the CFMA 2010 Information Technology Survey for the Construction Industry. CMiC software ranked in first place for General Contractor Choice of Project Collaboration, CRM, Imaging and Project Management in the $250 million and over revenue category, and ranked in second place for Accounting and Fixed Assets. CMiC, with its fully integrated approach that links all departments on the same database, was the only software company to place in all of the survey’s major product categories.

In the CFMA’s 2010 Information Technology Survey for the Construction Industry, the largest continuous sampling of IT patterns in the construction industry, General Contractors with revenue of $250M and above placed CMiC as the number one solution in the Project Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Imaging categories. In the Project Collaboration category, CMiC was the number one choice for General Contractors with $101 million revenue and above and $250 million and above. CMiC ranked second in Accounting and Fixed Assets for General Contractors in the $250 million and higher category.

CMiC experienced an increase of 11 percent in the 2010 survey from the 2008 survey in the Accounting, Collaboration and Project Management categories for General Contractors with revenue of $250 million and higher category, which is evidence that "especially in this economic climate, more contractors are beginning to the see the advantages of using the fully integrated CMiC platform," said Bassem Hamdy, vice president, solutions, CMiC.
