IndiePix Acquires "The Devilles"

17 January 2011, New YorkIndiePix Films announced today the acquisition of distribution rights to "The Devilles", the documentary film directed by Nicole Nielsen Horanyi.

"The Devilles" tells the story of a very different kind of nuclear family. Teri Lee Geary, aka Kitten Deville, is a Marilyn Monroe-styled burlesque dancer and mother who is getting older but still drawing crowds. Her husband Shawn is a punk rock singer and homemaker. All seems well in their antique-kitschy Los Angeles home, but when Teri makes a troubling discovery about Shawn, their family is thrown into upheaval. Shot through with nostalgia, and crafted with the precision of a narrative film, "The Devilles" is a moving documentary portrait of a not-quite-domesticated Sid and Nancy.

"The Devilles" screened at the 2010 South by Southwest Film Festival. IndiePix will manage the distribution of this film in DVD, Broadcast, digital and new media markets throughout the world. For more information on "The Devilles", check out the film’s trailer here.
