IFS Applications now available on the UK Government's G-Cloud

High Wycombe, UK - 1st November 2012 - IFS™, the global enterprise applications company, has been selected for inclusion on the UK Government's G-Cloud Catalogue. This agreement will enable departments and organisations across the UK public sector to benefit from IFS's fully-integrated and modular ERP software solutions. Organisations will be able to procure IFS Applications either as a full ERP suite designed to support an entire organisation or department, or as individual modules which provide the discrete functionality required to support a specific business process.

The UK Government has addressed the increased adoption of cloud computing with the introduction of its G-Cloud programme, making buying a cloud service an end-to-end experience for public sector organisations. G-Cloud will deliver fundamental changes in the way the public sector procures and operates information and communications technologies (ICT), helping to deliver ICT systems that are flexible and responsive to demand in order to efficiently support government policies and strategies.

IFS products and services are now listed on the purpose-built catalogue hosted on the Government eMarketplace, which will provide a vehicle for the purchase of cloud-based IT Services by customers across the Government. IFS has a total of 10 solutions available via the framework:

  • Finance
  • CRM
  • Projects
  • Document Management
  • Scheduling
  • Order Fulfilment and Stock Control
  • Expense Management
  • Service & Facilities Management
  • Time Recording
  • ERP

"We are delighted to have been selected for inclusion on the UK Government's G-Cloud catalogue, and see a great opportunity for the public sector to deploy cloud-based solutions, especially as departments seek to reduce costs and deploy ICT solutions in a more agile manner," commented Alastair Sorbie, CEO, IFS. "IFS Applications is ideally suited for this environment due to its modular nature. This enables Government departments to procure the services they need when they need them, significantly reducing total cost of ownership in order to ultimately deliver better value to the UK Tax payer."
