Cybit appoints network of specialist regional insurance brokers to deliver Telematics Enabled Fleet Insurance (TEFI)

  • Extends reach of TEFI offer to 1000s of existing broker clients and new business prospects
  • Supports rapid growth - TEFI take-up has increased by 25 per cent in the last three months

Cybit, the UK's leading online telematics service provider, has appointed a network of specialist fleet insurance brokers to deliver the company's unique Telematics Enabled Fleet Insurance (TEFI). In the face of rising fleet insurance premiums, Cybit's TEFI offer helps organisations of all sizes and in all sectors to stabilise their fleet insurance costs for up to three years and the opportunity to earn an annual 16 per cent profit share.

Cybit has appointed the specialist brokers as part of an initiative to widen the reach of its TEFI offer, which has seen a 25 per cent increase in the last three months alone. The brokers will work with new and existing customers to help them stabilise insurance premiums and counteract the inevitable rate rise across the industry following Norwich Union's decision to increase premiums. The new brokers will ensure that the TEFI offer is available to all businesses, particularly haulage companies, which often face premiums in excess of GBP 2,500 per vehicle per year.

One of the exclusive appointed brokers, operating in the South East, is the Argyll Insurance Group. Gareth Roberts, Director, commented: "The benefits of TEFI are clear for anyone to see and they can make a significant difference to the bottom line of any business. It is important that organisations can control their insurance costs in the face of rising premiums from the major insurers, and Cybit's TEFI offer enables them to do that. At the end of every year of the agreement these businesses can then also earn a profit share for demonstrating safer driving practices, which effectively reduces the cost of insurance."

"We believe that our TEFI offer is relevant to companies of all sizes and in all markets, because it can generate genuine benefits throughout the organisation," added Cybit's Director of Partnerships, Ian Walmsley. "Fleets are facing an increased pressure on their bottom lines because of rising insurance costs, so we have developed TEFI as a means for them to offset it. Cybit’s years of experience in the telematics and insurance markets give us the ability to offer this unique proposition for business, which enables fleets to save between five and ten per cent of their insurance costs because they are fixed for three years, and then allows the possibility of a further 16 per cent profit share."

Cybit has appointed brokers throughout the country, covering Yorkshire, the North West the South West, the Midlands, Wales, Scotland and East Anglia, to ensure easy access to local specialist broker knowledge.

Cybit was recently named in the top ten of the ABI's Global Telematics Vendor Matrix, and was the highest ranked European organisation. The recognition came as the result of its innovation in technology and professional services to its customers.

Fleetstar-Online is Cybit's scalable Internet-based fleet and asset management solution that provides organisations with precisely the level of telematics functionality they require, while also ensuring an easy upgrade path so that it can evolve to meet changing business needs. Fleet vehicles are fitted with a small electronic in-vehicle-unit (IVU) which is tracked by GPS in real-time and then transmits data to Cybit's online control centre. It provides companies with a cost-effective ASP-based fleet management solution, which offers users anytime, anywhere access to the system via a standard web browser.
