Genesys recognises BT, Nextira One, Newpoint - Orange Business Services and NCR with regional awards at Genesys EMEA Partner Forum

  • South African firm Intelleca takes 'New Partner of the Year' title and Swisscom wins EMEA 'Managed Services Partner of the Year'

WOKINGHAM, June 11, 2007 - Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Inc., an Alcatel-Lucent company (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU), today announced the Genesys EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Partner awards for 2006 at its annual partner forum in London. Regional awards went to Nextira One in DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), Newpoint - Orange Business Services in SE (Southern Europe), Nextira One Belgium in Northern Europe, NCR Pakistan in ECEMEA (East and Central Europe, Middle East and Africa), and BT in UK and Ireland.

Intelleca, a South African-based provider of speech, self-service and contact centre solutions, was announced Genesys New Partner of the Year for EMEA. Swisscom, Switzerland’s leading telecommunications company, received the EMEA Managed Services Partner of the Year Award.

NextiraOne, winner in both DACH (Nextira One DACH) and Northern Europe (Nextira One Belgium), has succeeded in winning key strategic deals in DACH region with Genesys Business Process Routing as a key competitive differentiator and has delivered with its highly focused go-to-market strategy in Belgium to new customers and markets, and new solutions to existing customers. BT is UK and Ireland winner, becoming in 2006 the largest revenue creator for Genesys in the whole of EMEA. NCR Pakistan has been given the ECEMEA award for its outstanding performance over the last five years and Newpoint - Orange Business Services won in Southern Europe, after winning a number of key accounts in 2006 in France and North Africa.

Intelleca received the Genesys New Partner of the Year Award after building the leading Genesys partner practice in Africa in under a year with a large, highly-trained team solely representing Genesys solutions. Intelleca has managed this through its long term relationship with Genesys VoiceGenie and via the acquisition of InContact, a specialist provider of Genesys contact centre solutions.

Swisscom, EMEA Managed Services Partner of the Year, has achieved rapid development of its Managed Service Platform in Switzerland with an aggressive go-to-market strategy. The platform has already achieved considerable success in its first six months and expanded Genesys’ reach into the mid-market sector.
