World's first showing of new breed of open mobile communication software at GSMA Mobile World Congress

  • Live demos of CitronGO!™ throughout the event at GLOBO Mobile Stand C86, Hall 7
  • GSMA is held on 16th-19th February at Fira Montjuïc, Barcelona
London, UK – 02 February, 2009 – Visitors to GLOBO Mobile's stand at the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2009 will be able to see the first live demonstrations of a new breed of open mobile communication software that will provide users with ubiquitous computing on a single screen on any mobile phone or laptop – regardless of manufacturer, vendor or network. GLOBO Mobile, a leader in e-business solutions and a SaaS solutions provider, will show its pioneering CitronGO!™ cloud software for the first time at this year's GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

CitronGO!™ has already been widely talked about in the industry. It supports, aggregates and integrates a variety of protocols and applications on any mobile device, so users have instant access to their preferred services without changing their handset. The software's unique capabilities bring together corporate and personal spaces onto a 'single screen'. CitronGO!™ will eliminate the need for users to log-in and log-out multiple times from multiple services in order to combine business and personal use.

Costis Papadimitrakopoulos, Founder and CEO of GLOBO said: "CitronGO!™ is unique in that it provides users with a complete 'push' experience without them needing to sacrifice their existing handset. Our solution synchronises data over the air (OTA) but also over the web so that all applications can be viewed on any screen – creating a unique layer of interaction with hundreds of services, such as email, calendars, contacts, instant messaging, folders and social networking.

"Social networking services are a huge part of users' lives both in the business space – using services such as LinkedIn – and the social space – using sites such as FaceBook. So the integration of social networking features in CitronGO!™ adds great value for the end user. Many other 'push' services and cloud computing environments do not integrate social networking services which immediately cuts out a huge section of the market.

"We have added another unique and innovative feature to the CitronGO!™ DNA –the folders service. Users can now create and manage folders of any structure and upload files of any type or size with no barriers. With CitronGO!™ users can upload folders on the move to share them with friends and colleagues in just a few clicks. Visitors to our stand at GSMA will have the chance to view this revolutionary technology for the first time, as well as speak to the people behind it," Costis Papadimitrakopoulos concluded.

GLOBO Mobile will be exhibiting at the GSMA Mobile World Congress at Fira Montjuïc, Barcelona on Stand C86, Hall 7 on 16th-19th February.
