DS2 appoints Robert Litzlbeck as Vice President Sales and Business Development in North America

Valencia, SPAIN, 28th September 2009 - DS2, a leading technology innovator and global supplier of high-speed powerline communications technology, today announces the expansion of its US operations with the appointment of Robert (Bob) Litzlbeck to the position of Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Litzlbeck will be based in California and will lead sales and business development efforts in North America and Canada. He joins DS2's US-based Strategic Marketing Manager, John Egan, a powerline technology evangelist and technical expert, who coordinates standardisation activities and contributions on next generation "anywire" G.hn technology and markets DS2 products in North America.

"He brings over 20 years experience in sales to the company and a broad range of technical and business skills that will help us expand our activities in multimedia home networking applications in both the IPTV and retail sectors and in the emerging Smart Grid and AMI markets in the US."

Prior to joining DS2, Bob Litzlbeck was Director of Sales (North America) at SiGe Semiconductor. He helped SiGe build strategic relationships with both wireless reference design partners and OEMs and, as a member of the management team, he helped the company achieve significant revenue growth, establishing them as a world leader in the design and supply of leading edge RF solutions for WiFi and GPS products. Prior to joining SiGe, Bob Litzlbeck was Director of Sales at Infineon Technologies where he gained considerable experience in sales and management roles, building on similar experience in his previous role at Sony Semiconductor. Bob Litzlbeck has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University and a MBA Degree from University of Phoenix.
