ISO launches new version of Claims Outcome Advisor solution – COA 3.2.2

  • Adds enhanced recovery assessments, greater granularity of injury definitions and detailed visibility of claims histories
  • Strengthens claims handlers’ negotiating position to process claims fairly
Insurance Services Office (ISO) Limited, the UK’s leading provider of personal injury claims and anti-fraud insurance services and solutions, has launched COA 3.2.2, a new version of its successful Claims Outcome Advisor solution. COA 3.2.2 incorporates enhanced recovery assessments and increased granularity of injury definitions to strengthen claims handlers’ negotiating position when processing claims. In addition, COA 3.2.2 enables insurers to identify the positive effects of rehabilitation on recovery times. The Audit Manager toolkit provides a detailed audit trail of claims and overall performance of individual agents that managers can use to track development and claims histories.

COA 3.2.2 allows claims handlers to input claims information faster than before, while retaining high levels of accuracy and consistency – a key strength of the COA solution. The new features of COA 3.2.2 will enhance an insurance organisation’s ability to use COA to provide an effective training tool and to establish best practices in the claims handling process.

“The new version of Claims Outcome Advisor supplements the many advances we have already made for the consistent and effective processing of claims,” commented Joe Pendle, Director of Client Services for ISO. “COA 3.2.2 allows this accuracy and consistency to be made even more effective because the claims entry process has been made quicker. With COA 3.2.2 we built on quality, and have added the speed of entry that can deliver all-round efficiency.”

COA 3.2.2 deepens the medical encyclopaedia contained within the Claims Outcome Advisor solution which is key to the accuracy and consistency of its claims processing capability. The database contains information on over 18,000 injuries and 14,000 occupations and the new version incorporates additional functionality which allows this information to be searched and entered more quickly by claims handlers.

“COA is an extremely effective tool to supplement claims handlers’ skills and knowledge bases,” continued Joe Pendle. “We have always aimed to deliver applications which provide excellent support and a reliable reference tool to drive more detailed management of the whole claims handling process, which inevitably leads to improved efficiency. COA 3.2.2 retains all the accuracy and detail of earlier versions but makes the claims handling process quicker and easier.”
