staff to download specific contact information to their PDA and upload changes
on demand. Contact details, appointments and trading history can all be made
available to help sales staff keep track of existing customer and prospect
relationships, providing them with all the tools they need to provide strong
customer service.
Enhanced sales support
With stock availability often proving a key
issue when closing a sale, Pocket Maginus can provide mobile sales staff with a
real-time stock position for any product code that may be held in the local
database, read from a bar code or entered manually. Integration with fulfilment
operations will also allow sales staff to provide immediate confirmation of
promise dates and delivery details. Real-time access to sales order entry data
also means that sales staff can optimise their performance by raising quotes
and taking orders in real-time either at customer premises, exhibitions, trade
shows or on the showroom floor. Once confirmed, fully detailed orders can then
be posted in real-time to the Maginus server. All standard Maginus confirmation
messages, order reference numbers and bonus points earned can then be confirmed
with the customer at the point-of-order.
Pocket Maginus runs on any PDA with the
Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system, and connects to the Internet via
GPRS to access the dedicated Pocket Maginus Web-Service.
