Kubota Minis stay out in front at Hillhead 2005 (kub 131b)

Kubota, the acknowledged UK, European & World leader in mini excavators, will be unveiling more exciting new machines at Hillhead 2005 (Stand E8, The International Quarrying & Recycling Show, Buxton, 21-23 June 2005).

Kubota already offers the widest model range available from a single manufacturer and customers can choose from 16 base machines, spanning the weight range from 850kg to 7.5 tonnes.

Joining this market leading range will be the new U15-3, the only 1.5 tonne zero tail swing machine currently available in the UK and one which provides decisive power, efficiency and performance advantages over other minis in its class.

Incorporating superior lifting and breakout force, together with enhanced safety and comfort features, as well as the convenience of simple maintenance and transportation, the U15-3 is an ideal machine for many different applications and users, from quarrying to landscaping and for plant hire companies to owner operators.

The boom cylinder is mounted on the top of the boom and hydraulic hoses are routed through it for maximum protection.

Track width is adjustable in seconds to allow quick and easy access through narrow doorways or restricted openings, and zero tail swing makes the machine even more versatile for working in extremely confined spaces or areas with limited access.

For safety, the canopy is to ROPS/FOPS standard and by relocating the controls operators have a lot more comfort and even more room to move.

Among other Kubota machines to be put through their paces will be some of their latest models, originally introduced at SED 2004 when the company celebrated 25 years in the British market.

These include the 2.6 tonne KX61-3 and 2.8 tonne KX71-3 models, both of which come equipped with a longer dipper fitted as standard, for greater reach and dig depth, and they generate the highest bucket digging force in their class.

Also to be previewed at the show is the new RTV 900 all-terrain utility vehicle, a rugged on/off road machine ideally suited for all those fetching and carrying jobs around the site.

There’s virtually no job too tough or terrain too rough for this highly compact vehicle and no other 4 x 4 RTV is comparable in terms of quality, performance and reliability.

Richard Harrison, Sales & Marketing Manager, Kubota (UK) Ltd – Construction Equipment said: “In addition to the tremendous capabilities of our existing range of machines, new models such as the U15-3 will help assure our continued leadership of the mini excavator market for many years to come”.

“Kubota minis represent the global benchmark that plant hirers and users consistently ask for, and to which other manufacturers compare their own machines. We look forward to providing all the benefits of Kubota’s legendary quality, performance, reliability, high resale values and exceptional dealer support to an even wider customer base and to achieving continuing record sales in the UK and Ireland, as we have done consistently over the past years”.
