DEUTZ UK introduce new compact engine ranges

DEUTZ, one of the world’s largest independent manufacturers of diesel and gas engines, has added two new compact engine families to its market leading range.

Falling into the lower end of the power bracket, with outputs for the five additional models covering 10kW to 50kW, the new D2008 and D2009 water-cooled, 3 and 4 cylinder, compact, heavy duty engines are exceptionally quiet and very economical, with extremely low emissions.

DEUTZ has more than 140 years international experience in the provision of quality engines, with an overall product range extending from 4kW to 4,000kW, suitable for a wide variety of markets and applications, including tractors, mowers, generators and construction & agricultural equipment, and supported by a worldwide service network.

Whether mechanically or electronically controlled; air, oil or water-cooled, DEUTZ diesel engines are amongst the world leaders from an environmental standpoint.  Their low noise and exhaust emissions, together with suitability for rape fuel, alongside their extremely economical fuel consumption enable users to fully optimise operating costs.

Both the D2008 and D2009 ranges offer compact, space-saving engine platforms to fully minimise any potential equipment redesign costs and their impressive power to weight ratio and extremely high levels of reliability, combined with long maintenance intervals, provide cost-effective operation even in the most demanding conditions.

These new engine ranges now join well established products such as the 909 series single cylinder air-cooled models, which provide outputs from 6kW to 11kW and comply with EU Stage 2 and US EPA Tier 2 emissions legislation.

DEUTZ is at the forefront in engine design and manufacture, with the flexibility and expertise to tailor its engines to precisely meet individual customer needs, as and when required.

For the mobile off-highway market, DEUTZ UK offers a dependable and economical range of compact diesel engines, from 4kW to 500kW and a national network of factory trained engineers, with a fleet of mobile workshops, provides a full technical support capability across the UK and Ireland to ensure total customer satisfaction at all times.

DEUTZ UK was established in 1952 and is now one of the company’s largest subsidiaries.  In January 2006 the company moved its UK headquarters from London to Cannock, Staffordshire, in order to realise a central location covering all aspects of sales, marketing and product support.

In conjunction with the DEUTZ AG parts operation, DEUTZ UK provides overnight parts delivery, with 95% availability.  And, following its long tradition of engine development, in 2004 the company established a UK Research and Development Centre, to add British engineering expertise to DEUTZ’s extensive existing R&D resource.

DEUTZ UK Managing Director, Klaus-Ulrich Klinger said: “Our continuing successful growth in the UK is testament to the exceptional quality, reliability and cost-effective performance of our comprehensive engine range, together with a first-class sales and service resource”.

This was a point echoed by General Manager - Engine Sales, Keith Andrews, who added: “Our extensive engine line-up, together with the impressive array of options and configurations available, means that we are able to offer customer focussed power solutions to meet an increasing range of mobile equipment and application needs, including construction, screening & crushing, power generation, airport support and agriculture”.
