Jobs4Medical launches new website with upgraded services for job seekers and recruiters

  • Job applicants can now make and store a ‘short list’ of jobs on the website to review at their own convenience
  • Increased job specification details provide more focussed applicants for recruiters

Hampshire, UK – 04 November, 2010Jobs4Medical, a leading specialist online recruitment service for the medical profession, has launched a new-look website, with added facilities for candidates and recruiters. According to the 2010 NORAS report, Jobs4Medical has the highest percentage of healthcare job seekers – more than any other UK jobs board – with 85 per cent of visitors actively searching for a new position. The new site incorporates more features to enhance users' experience while making the process easier for recruiters posting jobs onto the site.

Amongst the features added, as a result of extensive feedback from Jobs4Medical members, is a new short-list feature for candidates, which allows users to store a list of jobs they are interested in on the website to return and then apply at a time which best suits them. Recruiters now have the ability to advertise more specific details about the job they are advertising, including details such as whether the job includes an annual or hourly salary rate and whether it is within the private sector or the NHS. In addition, due to the website's high traffic volumes and recruiters' request, Jobs4Medical has provided more choice for recruiters in terms of advertising space to 'showcase' their companies, and more importantly, their jobs. These new features allow for greater specificity on the part of recruiters, and mean that the applications received will in turn be more appropriate to their requirements.

Vicky Scott, Operation Manager at Jobs4Medical, commented, "At a time of uncertainty as to how the recent cuts will affect the healthcare sector, we hope that our new-look website will enhance the job application process for those in the medical profession."

"The feedback from users allowed us to redesign and update the 'look and feel' of our website in order to increase usability. Candidates are now able to do an initial job search where they will see only see exact matches, providing them with more accurate results according to their selected search criteria. They can then open this up to display a wider range of positions within their chosen discipline. The restructuring of the website increases ease of use both for those applying for jobs and those advertising jobs, thereby making the whole process much more efficient across all parties," she concluded.
