Kubota Promotes Affordable, Economical Agricultural Machines At Agriscot

Affordability, versatility, power and reliability are just some of the reasons why visitors looking for agricultural equipment should visit Kubota’s stand 174 on blocks 9 and 10 at Agriscot.

Kubota Tractor and Groundcare will be showcasing the M130X and M9540 agricultural tractors, the L3200 mid-range tractor and the RTV900 all-terrain utility vehicle.

The highlight of the exhibition will be the M130X, which at 130hp, is the largest in Kubota’s range. Designed to offer a real alternative to both 'expensive' and 'economy' tractors, it features a four-cylinder engine, electronic fuelling and engine governing as well as Intelli-Shift 16 Speed transmission with eight-speed powershift and auto field/road modes. The M130X can be fitted with the new LA2253 loader, which has a lifting capacity of 2.1 tons to a maximum height of 4.1m.

Also on display will be the 95hp M9540, part of the M40 Series range of agriculutural tractors, which won the Silver medal at the 2009 Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE) Machinery Awards. The M9540 offers users fantastic performance and efficiency thanks to high power to weight ratio and excellent manoeuvrability.

Moving into the mid-range market, Kubota will be exhibiting the L3200 tractor which has been designed for those who want a robust, straightforward standard tractor that offers excellent value for money. It is ideal for working around larger areas and offers exceptional productivity together with consistent, economic performance.

All of these tractors can be fitted with a variety of Kubota-matched attachments and large implements to allow them to handle a diverse range of tasks from ploughing, harrowing and spraying to trailer and front-loader work. And because these implements are manufactured by Kubota, users are guaranteed optimum performance from their tractor.

Like all Kubota equipment, these tractors are renowned for being economical to run as well as affordable to buy, something that David Blackwood, Kubota Tractor and Grouncare Sales and Marketing Manager says is a priority throughout the design and development process. "We understand what’s important to our customers and with fuel costs rising this remains a top priority for Kubota.

"Precision engineering means that we can extract a high horsepower from a relatively small engine displacement – for instance, the M9540 offers 95hp from a 3.8ltr engine.

"But it doesn’t stop there. We then work hard to keep the overall weight of all our tractors as low as possible to ensure optimum fuel consumption; we work on the assumption that farmers can always add weights to gain more traction if they need it, but if a machine’s heavy to start with, the weight can never be reduced and they’ll be stuck with high fuel costs.

Of course, no Kubota stand would be complete without the popular RTV900 all-terrain utility vehicle – a machine that’s regarded by many farmers as the linchpin of their entire fleet. Equally suited to traversing off road as it is to running on tarmac, the 22 hp four-wheel drive RTV900 has a maximum speed of 25 mph, while variable HST delivers torque exactly when it’s needed, ensuring ascents are controlled without overworking the engine.

The RTV900 features a steel hydraulically-tipped rear cargo box, which thanks to a 500kg load capacity (1,100lbs) can cater for a euro-pallet, allowing users to transport feed, fertiliser and other materials without first needing to unload the pallet. It can pull a trailer with ease and in winter versatility is further with the addition of snow blade.

"The RTV900 is the perfect all-rounder making it the perfect addition to any agricultural fleet," added David. "I’d encourage anyone visiting Agriscot who’s looking for agricultural equipment to come and meet the team and find out exactly what Kubota machines have got to offer.
