'Out of the box' solution layer integrates Amazon, eBay and Magento into SME retail sales operations

  • New OpServices layer extension for OpSuite allows retailers to simply and economically integrate essential online marketplaces into their retail management solution
  • Pricing and promotions can remain consistent even across third party owned marketplaces
  • Return on existing investment - all existing distribution, finance, e-commerce, ERP and even proprietary bespoke solutions can be integrated into the OpSuite retail management solution

Derby, UK – 14 November, 2012 Davidson Richards, Microsoft's leading European RMS development partner, has announced a new development to their ground-breaking cloud-based retail solution, OpSuite. Using its updated OpServices layer, retailers can now easily incorporate selling via the world's leading online marketplaces and products such as Amazon, eBay and Magento into their retail solutions. Consistent pricing and promotional control can be maintained across any range of on-premise or hosted business applications and even across third party owned marketplaces.

A retailer setting up a promotion for bricks and mortar retail outlets can automatically replicate the promotion on third party e-commerce services such as Magento and variable in-store pricing can be kept consistent with pricing on sites such as Amazon and eBay for the tens of millions of consumers who use them. Retailers can then easily incorporate sales and information on these sites into their existing retail solution to monitor resulting sales and co-ordinate all operations from stock management and supply chain to customer service, in real-time from anywhere, at any time. To get full ROI on pre-existing solutions the new OpSuite Services layer has been architected to easily integrate, if not fuse, to any pre-existing infrastructure such as finance, ERP, e-commerce or proprietary solutions.

"Small and mid-sized retailers do not need to be told how critical the use of online marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay are – they already know," comments Richard Goodley, CEO, Davidson Richards. "What they may not realise is that linking these channels to their retail solution along with any of their other current - or future - business solutions is a hassle-free and financially viable option."

"It gives retailers extremely valuable flexibility," Richard Goodley added. "They can co-ordinate in-store and on-line promotions for fast moving main-line products and then monitor the extra direct business that accrues as well as any variations in their overall business trends that coincided with the promotions. At the same time they can identify end-of-stock or slow moving lines from their existing stock control systems and use the on-line marketplace to dispose of these more quickly."

OpSuite is a cloud based business management software solution for the retail and franchise retail industries.
