Geniatech and Fuugo join forces to provide complete Android STB solution for OTT

Joint offering gives more options and flexibility for service providers to build premium OTT services

The combined solution will include several Android based Set-Top-Box alternatives from Geniatech and a flexible Fuugo Platform software for cloud managed LiveTV and VOD services.

This joint solution is the first complete and mature Android OTT STB solution providing an excellent user experience that can be easily re-branded and customized. Solution is targeted to OTT service providers who are looking for mature set-top-box solution with possibility to customize the user interface and features fast and economically. Geniatech demonstrates six different OTT Set-Top-Boxes at TV Connect event in London March 19th to 21st. Portfolio covers Dual Core HDMI sticks and variety of Dual Core Set-Top-Boxes running Android 4.1. Fuugo Platform based OTT Video service can be added to any of those devices either as the main user interface or as a stand-alone video application. Fuugo platform includes a unique User interface and an application framework, and a cloud based management tool. Fuugo platform enables fast creation of connected video applications and user interfaces. Joint combination will include several DRM options, starting with pre-integrated MS Playready DRM.
