Microsoft's Leading Partner Core is once again approved to supply Government Cloud Services on the G-Cloud Programme.

London, UK – Tuesday 7th May 2013 - Core, one of Microsoft’s leading SharePoint, Cloud, System Center and Managed Services Providers in the UK is pleased to announce that for the 3rd time running it has been successfully approved to supply Government Departments with cloud services through the G-Cloud Register and Cloudstore.

Through the Cloudstore, Core is able to offer a range of different services to Public Sector Organisations, from migration to SharePoint Online, Public Cloud Services through Microsoft Office 365 as well as the option to purchase Managed Services and support credits to review and manage current infrastructure.

The G-Cloud Framework has been in existence since February 2012 and during the last 15 months has been responsible for over £18 million in Cloud sales; £7 million of which came in March 2013 alone. This shows a distinct shift towards the Government’s target of 50% of new IT procurement to be carried out in the Cloud by 2015.

Speaking on the day of the announcement, Core’s CEO, Conor Callanan stated "I am delighted that Core is once again able to supply the Government Cloud services through the Cloudstore. Having returned our first sales in March we are definitely noticing an increase in the number of inquiries received from the Public Sector. This is due in no small part to Microsoft Office 365 receiving IL2 accreditation from the Cabinet Office in February 2013. We are now able to offer Public Sector organisations secure public cloud services that offer flexible working and increased mobility at a great price without impacting on their capital expenditure".
